Program FAQs

What makes Next Level Martial Arts Summer Camp unique?
#

Our camp focuses on academic enrichment to help students get a head start on next year’s schoolwork. Campers will review key concepts from their previous grade while learning new material for the next grade level. While there will be some martial arts activities to promote focus and confidence, the primary focus is on learning and personal growth.

What academic material will my child be learning?
#

Our educational sessions are designed to prepare campers for their next grade level. For example, students who just finished 2nd grade will explore 3rd-grade material. Lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and hands-on, ensuring kids stay engaged while building essential skills.

Will there still be martial arts training?
#

Yes, but in smaller doses. Martial arts activities will be included to help campers stay active and practice focus, self-discipline, and confidence — but the primary focus will be on academic learning and enrichment.

Is the camp suitable for children with no martial arts experience?
#

Absolutely! Since martial arts will play a minimal role in the camp, no prior experience is needed. All activities are beginner-friendly and focus on building positive habits and social skills.

What should my child bring each day?
#

Campers should bring:

  • A water bottle
  • A nutritious lunch and snacks (peanut-free)
  • Comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers
  • Any required medications with completed authorization forms
  • Sunscreen and bug spray if needed

For a full list of recommendations, see the What to Bring page.

How do you ensure learning stays fun and engaging?
#
Our educational sessions combine games, hands-on activities, and group challenges to keep kids motivated. We prioritize building confidence and curiosity, ensuring campers feel positive about learning new skills.
How do you handle medical needs or allergies?
#

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR. We securely store all medications and follow detailed instructions for administering them. If your child has severe allergies, please provide an EpiPen or inhaler with clear instructions, and our staff will ensure it’s accessible at all times.

What if my child feels nervous or shy?
#

We understand that new experiences can be challenging. Our caring instructors are experienced in helping children feel comfortable and engaged. We use positive encouragement, team-building activities, and a welcoming environment to ensure every camper feels included and supported.

How can I stay informed about my child’s experience?
#

We believe in keeping parents involved. You'll receive:

  • 📋 Reminders for special events or themed days
  • ☎️ Our team is always available to answer questions or address concerns.
